It is very important to master the correct use and maintenance methods of air compressors. If an air compressor equipment is not maintained, it will be damaged prematurely or frequently fail, which will greatly reduce the service life of the air compressor. When maintaining the air compressor equipment, timely measures should be taken according to the signs of failure found, which can reduce and prevent the occurrence of failures and extend the service life of the air compressor and the system.
The central task of air compressor maintenance is to ensure that the air compression system is supplied with clean and dry compressed air, to ensure the air tightness of the air compression system, to ensure that the air compressor lubrication system is lubricated as necessary, to ensure that the air compressor and the air compression system are under the prescribed working conditions (such as operating pressure, voltage, etc.), so as to ensure that the pneumatic actuator works according to the predetermined requirements.
The lubricating oil of the air compressor should be replaced frequently. When replacing the lubricating oil, pay attention to the reduction of the oil volume. If the oil consumption is too little, the oil dripping volume should be readjusted. If the oil dripping volume is still reduced or no oil dripping after adjustment, check whether the inlet and outlet of the oil and gas barrel are installed upside down, whether the oil channel is blocked, and whether the specifications of the selected oil and gas barrel are appropriate.
Monthly and quarterly maintenance of air compressors should be more careful than daily and weekly maintenance, but still limited to the scope that can be checked from the outside. Its main contents are: carefully check for leaks everywhere, tighten loose screws and pipe joints, check the quality of air discharged by the exhaust valve at the terminal block, check the flexibility of each adjustment part, check the correctness of the indicating instrument, check the reliability of the switching action of the solenoid valve, check the quality of the cylinder piston rod and all the contents that can be checked from the outside.
Air compressor maintenance can be divided into regular maintenance and periodic maintenance. The former refers to the maintenance work that must be performed every day, and the latter can be weekly, monthly or quarterly maintenance. Maintenance work should be recorded. Maintenance work should be recorded to facilitate future fault diagnosis and treatment.
When checking for leaks, you should apply soap solution to each check point, because it is more sensitive to leaks than listening to the sound.
When checking the quality of air discharged from the exhaust valve of the air compressor, the following three aspects should be noted: First, understand whether the lubricating oil contained in the exhaust is appropriate. The method is to place a clean white paper near the exhaust port of the exhaust valve. After the valve has worked for 3 to 4 cycles, if there are only very light spots on the white paper, it indicates that the lubrication is good. Second, understand whether there is condensed water in the exhaust. Third, understand whether there is leakage at the exhaust port that should not be exhausted. A small amount of leakage indicates early damage to the air compressor (it is normal for the gap sealing valve to have a slight leakage). If the lubrication is poor, consider whether the installation position is appropriate, whether the selected specifications are appropriate, whether the dripping amount is reasonably adjusted, and whether the management method meets the requirements. If condensed water is discharged, consider whether the position of the filter is appropriate, whether the actual and selected various water removal components are reasonable, and whether the condensed water management meets the requirements. The main cause of leakage is poor sealing in the valve or cylinder, insufficient air pressure, etc. When the leakage of the sealing valve is large, it may be caused by wear of the valve core and valve sleeve.
In addition, the piston rod of the piston air compressor cylinder is often exposed. Observe whether the piston rod is scratched, corroded, or worn. According to whether there is leakage, it can be judged whether the piston rod is in contact with the guide sleeve and sealing ring in the front cover, the quality of compressed air treatment, whether there is lateral load on the cylinder, etc.
Die casting molds such as safety valves and emergency switch valves are rarely used. Their operational reliability must be confirmed during regular inspections.
Switch the air compressor solenoid valve repeatedly, and judge whether the valve is working normally from the switching sound. For AC solenoid valve, if there is a buzzing sound, it should be considered that the moving iron core and the static iron core are not completely attracted, there is dust on the attraction surface, the magnetic ring is off or damaged, etc.
