The difference between biogas compressor and natural gas compressor

Edit:Bengbu Zhengda Compressor Co., Ltd.UpDate:2021-10-14

Biogas compressor is a compressor specially designed for biogas. The biogas compressor can improve the phenomenon of insufficient biogas pressure, so that the biogas can be burned more fully and the firepower is stronger. Due to the negative pressure of the pump, the biogas digester can produce more gas, which is widely used in various biogas digesters and long-distance transportation of biogas.

Differences from other general compressors:

1. Good air-tightness: strict air-tightness test should be carried out from the air inlet to the air outlet, no air leakage, no air leakage under the pressure of 6.8KPa..

2. The structure is simple; there is no external pipe between the two symmetrical air chambers.

3. Acid and alkali resistance: The passage from the air inlet to the air outlet is made of acid and alkali resistant plastic or rubber parts, which can pass weakly corrosive gases rich in moisture.

4. Long service life: The gas circuit and the circuit are strictly separated, and the service life of the electric is not affected because the gas is rich in moisture; 5. Good repairability: You can repair it by yourself with simple things and accessories.

Natural gas compressors mainly compress natural gas (including its content, methane, propane, etc.) with high pressure and high risk levels.

But generally methane cannot be liquefied at room temperature. The critical temperature of methane is -82.59°C, which means that no matter how much pressure is applied, methane liquefaction will not proceed above this temperature. Methane can be compressed above the critical temperature, and the compressed methane is still a gas, not a liquid. Therefore, it is theoretically feasible to use compressed methane purified from gas stored in steel cylinders as fuel. The problem is that there are many key factors, such as the value of industrial development, market value, and the cost of energy reuse and recovery. Therefore, biogas is generally used by gas pipelines. I believe this series of issues will be dealt with in the near future.
